CEO: Russia’s Gazprom sees record exports of 192 bcm in 2017
MOSCOW, Nov 28 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom expects its natural gas exports to reach an absolute record of 192 billion cubic meters in 2017, CEO Alexei Miller said on Tuesday at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
“Speaking of exports, if the current trend that we’ve seen in the past 11 months, when we exported 13.5 bcm of gas more than in the same period of 2016, persists, Gazprom will set an absolute record of gas exports for the whole history of the company in 2017 by exporting 192 bcm,” he said.
Gazprom will also sell 5 bcm of gas more to the domestic consumers in 2017 than in 2016, including to the power generation, metallurgy, agricultural chemistry, and cement companies, he said.
Gazprom plans to raise its gas production by more than 12% on the year to 470 bcm this year, while production capacities of the company will stand at more than 550 bcm as of the end of 2017, he said.
